Chat With Other Players

In Online mode, players in the game can
chat with each other. There are two ways to chat:

Normal Chat
Press the Enter key on the keyboard, and the
Chat window (black window) opens. After typing your
message, press the Enter key again. This message
will appear slightly above your player. Since the
message is displayed above the player,
it cannot be seen by players that are not nearby.

Common Chat

Press the Enter key while holding the Shift key, and the
Chat window (blue window) opens. After entering
your message, press the Enter key again. This will
send a message that all players will see. The
message is displayed in the upper left-hand portion
of the players' screens.

All chat content is saved in a log file located in the 'Log' subfolder
where ShadowFlare was installed and is saved with the file name
 of '[Year] [Month] [Date] log'.

Player Information

If you open the Menu while playing in online mode,
players' names, levels, and locations will appear.

Locate Players

Open the Map screen while playing in online mode,
and the locations of individual players in the game
will be displayed on the map. However, players who
are in other areas are not displayed.

Players' names are displayed as 'HOST', 'CLIENT1',
'CLIENT2', 'CLIENT3' according to their listing on the
Menu. However, on your screen, your player is
displayed as 'PLAYER'.
