Warning: estimated download time is 3 hours and 46 minutes
by 53.3 kbps modem. If you
do not have broadband connection, we suggest you order
a CD-ROM with Episode One and Two
or a CD-ROM with All Episodes.
This contains the complete Episode One scenario. You don't need
to have the ShadowFlare Pre-Scenario Demo installed before
installing Episode One.
When you download this file, do NOT directly download to
"C:\Program Files\ShadowFlare", but download to a temporary folder
such as "C:\SFTEMP1".
After the download has completed, you will extract AND setup the
files, i.e. the installation will involve two steps. The first step
is to extract the downloaded self-extracting file (sf1.exe) to a
temporary folder, and the second step is to actually setup the files
to the program folder.
First, double-click the downloaded file (sf1.exe), and you will
be asked for "Install Directory:".
Do NOT specify "C:\Program Files\ShadowFlare" at this point.
You may accept the current default folder, or specify a temporary
folder such as "C:\SFTEMP1". Then the self-extracting file will
create four temporary files: Data.sma, Setup.sma, SFSetup.exe and
ReadMe.txt. Please read the ReadMe.txt file before you start the
program. If you use Windows XP or Windows 2000, you must log on as
an Administrator before you can setup ShadowFlare.
Second, run SFSetup.exe. During the setup, you will be asked for
"Copy To:" if this is the first time to run the setup. You can
accept the default path "C:Program Files\ShadowFlare" or change the
path to a new folder where you want to setup the program to.
After the setup is complete, you can safely remove the temporary
files (sf1.exe, Data.sma, Setup.sma, SFSetup.exe and ReadMe.txt) and
the folder you may have created to extract the setup files, i.e.
"C:\SFTEMP1" in the above example. |
